Havana Grey continued his superb season when a close second in the Gr. 2 Flying Childers Stakes in September, and days later Havana Gold's daughter Nonna Gianna filled the same spot in an Italian Listed race.

Havana Grey has won four of his eight races this year, three of them Stakes races including the Gr. 3 Molecomb Stakes at the Qatar Goodwood Festival, and also finished second at Gr. 1 level in the Prix Morny.

Havana Grey's campaign typifies the superb season his trainer Karl Burke is having, and Havana Grey already looks a contender for next year's big sprints, including the Gr. 1 Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot. He's out of Dark Angel mare Blanc de Chine.

Nonna Gianna was a good second herself in the Listed Premio Repubbliche Marinare over 1500m in Rome, showing a good attitude to maintain her challenge in the closing stages.

Nonna Gianna is yet to finish out of the first two in four starts, winning her second outing, and she's yet another example of the consistency shown by sons and daughters of Havana Gold. She is out of Selkirk mare Jappeli
