Plan successful for former Tweenhills alumni

Former Tweenhills Foaling Manager Victoria Macauley enjoyed success as a buyer and owner recently when 3yo Escape Plan won at Kempton.

Victoria spent several years working at Tweenhills before moving onto pastures new a few years ago and it was great to see her purple and mauve silks carried to success.

Escape Plan was bought by Victoria for just 7,500gns at the Tattersalls December Foal Sale and her patience was rewarded when he dug deep to score in a handicap.

There was a further Tweenhills connection to the story as the gelding is trained by Tom Ward, whose wife Alex (née Lowe) also worked at Tweenhills for years in the Nominations team.

Victoria comes from a family steeped in racing as her late father Denis bred Champion Hurdle winner Brave Inca. The family's Erenagh House Stud were also responsible for the sales-topper at the 2023 Goffs Autumn Yearling Sale, namely a Havana Grey filly who sold for €65,000 to Bobby O'Ryan and Dermot Weld.

It’s great to see former Tweenhills alumni achieving success and we will monitor Escape Plan’s progress with great interest.
