The Team

Hannah has been David's assistant for 14 years. She works alongside him at all the sales worldwide, and also does all the pedigree research and catalogue updates prior to each sale. The Qatar Racing operation and QIPCO British Champion Series has been very much part of Hannah's ever expanding role and sees her representing the Al Thani family's sponsorship and racing interests throughout the racing season. During the stud season Hannah manages the nomination sales for the stallions along with ownership liaison. She also formed her own pinhooking syndicate, Redwall Bloodstock, which has enjoyed great success and recently formed another Redwall pinhooking syndicate in Australia.

Karen has been a key member of the team at Tweenhills since 2013. Previously Karen was stud secretary for Bloomsbury Stud for four years before its dispersal and was formally a Farm Secretary for eight years. Karen is the first point of contact at the stud liaising with owners, ensuring they are informed of coverings and foalings. She is responsible for all documentation being accurate, handles the stallion bookings and assists with nominations, as well as collating the worldwide breeding stock information. Karen also assists with hospitality at the sales and at the races.

Alice joined the Bloodstock team in 2019 and primarily looks after nominations, marketing and client relations. She studied Equine Science and Thoroughbred Management at Oxford Brooks University. Alice spent time in Australia with Darley and Baramul before taking on the role of
Communications Executive at the TBA.

Bryony was assistant to Ger Lyons for five years before joining Tweenhills in February 2012. With Qatar Racing having around 200 horses in training worldwide it's Bryony's job to liaise with all concerned ensuring that Sheikh Fahad and David are kept informed of horses progress, entries and jockey bookings.

Adam grew up in the West Midlands and was introduced to racing by his grandfather. After completing his degree in Equine Breeding and Stud Management at Writtle College, part of the University of Essex, he spent six years working for Timeform in West Yorkshire. Adam joined the Tweenhills team in March 2017 and his role includes writing daily race previews for David and identifying form horses to purchase, as well as selling nominations to Tweenhills' roster of stallions.

Sophie joined Tweenhills in September 2012. She is responsible for accounts, client invoicing and budgeting having previously worked in the finance department of a commercial insurance broker. Sophie is a keen rider, with a horse at home and is mum to two beautiful daughters.

Pieter hails from the Western Province of South Africa where he completed a diploma in Equine Management. In 2000 Pieter made a move to the UK to gain industry experience and his first position was at Tweenhills. Pieter then went onto be Stud Groom at Genesis Green Stud for 5 years before taking up Assistant Stud Manager roles at both Kingwood Stud and Whitsbury Manor Stud. Pieter returned to South Africa in 2008 and was appointed Stud Manager at Klawervlei Stud where he headed the team to four Champion Breeder titles in less than 11 years. Pieter joins the Tweenhills team as Stud Manager ahead of the 2020 breeding season.

Ivo was at Tweenhills for a year in 2014 and then went on to The Irish National Stud Course, where he was selected for the John Durkan Award. Following that he was assistant to Brian Meehan for two and a half years before moving to Australia for a year, working for Matt Cumani. He returned to Tweenhills September 2018.

Following looking after hunters during the hunting season, Scott joined Tweenhills in March 2017. Scott is locally born and bred, and worked at Meadow Stud, Huntley, breeding sport horses for six years. He took up the role of Yearling Manager at Tweenhills in 2019.

Graham was a renowned NH Jockey riding 920 winners including both the Gold Cup and Champion Hurdle; he then turned to training and sent out over 100 winners. Graham joined Tweenhills in 2008 and comes into his own during the breaking.

Alicia started a Tweenhills in 2019 whilst completing her Equine Science and Management degree. She had previously worked on both sport horse and thoroughbred studs. She has also spent time working at Ecurie des Monceaux in France.

Victoria returned to Tweenhills in October 2021 having previously spent over 6 years at the stud before gaining further exeperience at a number of thoroughbred operations in the UK.

Tallulah joined Tweenhills in May 2022. She previously spent time working on a Point-to-Point yard and joined Tweenhills to gain experience on a stud.

Alfie joined Tweenhills in February 2023 to pursue a career in the thoroughbred breeding and bloodstock having graduated from Newcastle University where he studied Animal Science. His role now includes the daily care of the Tweenhills stallions - his favourite being Lightning Spear!

Amelia joined the team in April 2023 following three years at Natton House Thoroughbreds. She also spent time at the sales working for consignors with foals and yearlings.

Samantha started at Tweenhills in January 2022. She is from the North Coast of Scotland and got the job through Tweenhills' Farm Manager Werner, who knows Samantha's family through the cattle business. Samantha grew up around horses on a farm and has come to Tweenhills to gain experience in Thoroughbred breeding.

Seb joined Tweenhills in September 2023 as part of his apprenticeship with Haddon Training. He has previously spent time at Tally-Ho Stud in Ireland and also successfully pinhooked a number of foals.
