Team Tweenhills celebrate at water park

When Tweenhills’ Foaling Manager Dayna Walsh made the finalists for the 2026 Godolphin Thoroughbred Industry Employee Awards, she was given £2,000 from Godolphin to spend on an activity for the Tweenhills staff. This week half was spent on a fun evening at the Croft Farm Water Park. 

Located just outside Tewkesbury, Croft Farm offers a range of water-based activities and seemed the perfect destination for 14 members of the Tweenhills crew on a warm summer’s evening. 

Organised by Dayna Walsh and Stud Secretary Karen Holmes, the activities included kayaking and canoeing races and a “little triathlon” which consisted of a lap of half of Croft Farm, then into the water for a “swim” back to the paddleboards and then, with five people on each paddleboard, each team had to make it back to the side. In typical Tweenhills fashion, it all got very competitive. 

Dayna then gave the team a racing and stud-based quiz, including a picture round featuring Tweenhills-bred winners and racing photos of mares now at Tweenhills. It also included an “emoji round” where you had to guess the name of the horse with Tweenhills links – or well-known stallion – from emojis. It got the grey matter working but was great fun and credit to Dayna for spending the time to create it – just a shame Ivo Thomas did rather well(!) 

The evening finished with a picnic and some beers and, even better news, there’s still £1,000 left in the kitty for a winter trip out. Thanks Godolphin!
