2026 stud fee released for King Of Change
Queen Elizabeth II Stakes (Sponsored by Qipco) winner King of Change will stand for an introductory fee of £8,500 1st Oct SLF at Tweenhills in Gloucestershire for the 2026 breeding season. He will stand alongside fellow Group 1 winners Kameko and Lightning Spear.
King of Change has hit the ground running as a stallion, siring a staggering 13.3% Black-type winners to runners, second only to DUBAWI and over double that of any other third-crop stallion. His four Stakes winners from his first two crops of 30 runners include triple Listed winner Lady With The Lamp and exciting prospect for 2026, Shayem.
King Of Change’s other Stakes winners are Miss of Change and Onemoredance, the latter purchased by David Redvers Bloodstock for 240,000gns at the recent Tattersalls December Mare Sale and set to continue her racing career in the US for Qatar Racing.
King Of Change has had winners in the UK, Ireland, France, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Italy and Czechia, from 5f to 12.5f on the Flat. His progeny have won Stakes races over 5f, 6f, 1m (x2) and 9.5f on ground ranging from good to firm to soft.
King Of Change covered his biggest and best quality book of 125 mares in 2024 whilst standing at Starfield Stud.
David Redvers, Managing Director of Tweenhills said “We couldn’t be more delighted to see King of Change settle into life on the farm seamlessly alongside Kameko and Lightning Spear.
“The initial response from breeders on both sides of the Irish Sea has been tremendous and his introductory fee is offered at an incredibly competitive price for a proven stallion with his obvious capabilities.
With the highest percentage of Stakes winners to runners of any stallion in Europe aside from Dubawi, breeders are encouraged to come and see him at the farm as he is filling very fast.”
King Of Change is available to view at Tweenhills and will be paraded, alongside Kameko for breeders at Longholes Stud in Newmarket during this year’s Tattersalls February Sale (Thursday 5th and Friday 6thFebruary).
