Another Stakes Winner
Harbour Watch sired his fourth Stakes winner when Seaside Song won a Listed race in Sweden on Sunday...
Three-year-old filly Seaside Song gave Harbour Watch a quartet of Stakes scorers when comfortably taking the Listed Lanwades Stud Stakes over a mile at Bro Park yesterday. She had been runner-up at the same level in the Bloomers' Vase at the course in June and had also filled the same position in the Norwegian 1,000 Guineas later that month.
Seaside Song travelled well in third for most of the Lanwades Stud Stakes before finding a gap shortly after turning into the home straight. Once through it she quickly went to the front and maintained her advantage to the line, winning by a length from former British-trained four-year-old Vallance Road.
Seaside Song was bred by Kenny Kok and is out of Singspiel mare Sea Chorus, who is a half-sister to the multiple European Gr. 1 winner Soldier Hollow. Seaside Song changed hands for 5,500gns at Tattersalls' Book 3 Sale in 2015 before being bought by BBA Ireland for €24,000 Goresbridge's May Breeze-Up Sale last year, when consigned by Melo Bloodstock.
