First Northern Hemisphere Stakes winner for Zoustar

Lezoo provided International Sire Sensation Zoustar with his first Northern Hemisphere Stakes winner with an impressive win in the Listed Empress Stakes at Newmarket on just her second start for trainer Ralph Beckett and owners M Chan & A Rosen

The two-year-old filly was recently purchased by connections for €110,000 at the Arqana Breeze-Up Sale, having previously been bought for 77,000gns at last year’s Tattersalls October Book 3 Yearling Sale.

Bred by Chasemore Farm she is out of the Red Clubs mare Roger Sez who was a winner for the Gr.3 Firth Of Clyde Stakes as a 2yo.

Zoustar is currently standing his fourth Northern Hemisphere breeding season at Tweenhills where he is heavily oversubscribed once again.

His first crop of two-year-olds have sold for up to 400,000gns at the breeze-up sales and runners include the RPR 93-rated Alexis Zorba and RPR 83-rated Annie Maher.
