Fourth win for Zoustar gelding in Hong Kong

Zoustar's son Quadruple Double won his fourth race at Sha Tin on Sunday, taking his career earnings to $4,462,775.

Quadruple Double again took up his customary prominent position and responded very generously to hold off the fast-finishing Happy Alumni.

Quadruple Double is trained by Australian-born David Hall. Hall is best known for winning the Melbourne Cup in 2003 with Makybe Diva, though he also trained Silent Witness before the champion sprinter switched to Hong Kong.

Quadruple Double has been ridden in each of his wins by Matthew Poon.

The four-year-old Zoustar gelding is out of Keep The Faith mare Jessica Rose.

There were actually three more winners for Zoustar in Australia over the weekend too: Barney's Law and Concave at Aquis Beaudesert and Fanciful Dream at Newcastle.

In other Zoustar news, Tony McEvoy has said that superstar mare Sunlight will press on towards the Gr.1 The Goodwood despite her poor run in Saturday's Gr.1 Robert Sangster Stakes at Morphettvile.

Also, Widden Stud in Australia have reduced their 2020 stallion fees across the board to reflect the current uncertainty across the globe. Zoustar heads their roster at A$121,000 (down from A$154,000).
