HARBOUR WATCH AT 30 FOR THE YEAR

Fortune's Pearl making a winning debut in the Wimbledon Betting At 188Bet Novice Median Auction Stakes at Chepstow on Tuesday evening means Harbour Watch has now sired 30 winners in Europe from his first two crops.

Harbour Watch is behind only Sir Prancealot (32) in the table for leading European Second Crop Sires based on winners and level with Helmet. He's also ahead of the likes of Frankel, Nathaniel and Excelebration at the time of writing.

Harbour Watch has been responsible for four winners in the last week, namely Flood Defence and Rayon Vert from his first crop and two-year-olds Quayside and Fortune's Pearl. Quayside and Flood Defence are both progressing well, with the former getting off the mark in a six-furlong maiden at Hamilton last Thursday and the latter taking a Doncaster handicap over a mile the following evening.

Fortune's Pearl matched Harbour Watch's best two-year-old this year - the Gr. 2 Norfolk Stakes runner-up Santry - by making a winning start to his career, showing a good attitude in the finish. He was bred by Miss Joann Lyons, out of the Muhtarram mare Princess Mood, and was bought as a foal for 30,000 guineas by Tweenhills' manager David Redvers on behalf of Qatar Racing.

Fortune's Pearl is a half-brother to both the multiple Gr. 1-placed Sunny King and Ayr Gold Cup winner Captain Ramius, and he already looks a bargain.
