Harbour Watch's Rayon Vert wins easily in France
Harbour Watch sired another exciting three-year-old winner yesterday with Rayon Vert easily landing the 1400m Conditions Race at Le Lion-d'Angers in France by over 7 lengths.
Trained by Henri-Alex Pantall for owner Mme Jacques Cygler, it was a very deserved success for this colt from Harbour Watch's first crop having been placed on his first five starts as a two-year-old and three-year-old.
Bred by Haras du Cadran and J-C Seroul, Rayon Vert is out of Mansoura (Kalanisi), a half-sister to the Gr.1 Manhattan Handicap and Gr.1 Woodford Reserve Turf Classic Stakes winner and sire Manndar (Doyoun), and Mandalara, dam of Champion French filly Mandesha, whose victories included the Gr.1 Prix d'Astarte, Gr.1 Prix de l'Opera and Gr.1 Prix Vermeille.
Harbour Watch stands at Tweenhills on behalf of Qatar Bloodstock (a subsidiary of QIPCO Holding), and Rayon Vert's success was very timely with QIPCO announcing their new sponsorship of the French Gr. 1 Prix du Jockey Club yesterday as well.
