Hot Streak filly sells for 200,000gns

Hot Streak's Listed-winning daughter Flaming Princess made 200,000gns at the Tattersalls December Mare Sale when purchased by BBA Ireland.

Bred in Hot Streak's first season at stud when he'd stood at a fee of £7,000, Flaming Princess had changed hands for £20,000 as a yearling when bought from her breeder Linacre House Stud by Daniel Benson.

She returned to Ascot as a breezer and sold for £60,000 from Benson's Dunsany Stables to Cool Silk Partnership / Stroud Coleman Bloodstock.

Flaming Princess was put in training with Richard Fahey and started her career with a win at Nottingham. After then running twice at Ascot, including at the Royal Meeting, Flaming Princess won the Listed Prix Cavalassur over five furlongs at Deauville in August.

She also finished in the frame in the Gr.3 Prix d'Arenberg (won by Al Raya, who she had beaten at Nottingham) and Gr.2 Flying Childers Stakes.

Both of Flaming Princess' parents were bullet breezers; she is out of Marju mare Qatar Princess. Hot Streak will stand the 2020 breeding season at Tweenhills for £5,000.
