RAYON VERT WINS AGAIN FOR HARBOUR WATCH

French colt Rayon Vert became Harbour Watch's highest money-earner when gaining his third success in the Class 1 Prix des Fougeres at Fontainebleau on Tuesday...

Rayon Vert took his winning tally to three when beating Fuego Del Amor by three quarters of a lengths over 1200m and, with the third and fifth having already achieved black type, it shouldn't be long before Rayon Vert is competitive in Stakes company himself.

Rayon Vert was bred by Ecurie Haras du Cadran and J. C. Seroul, and he's now owned by Mme Jacques Cygler and trained by Henri-Alex Pantall. Rayon Vert - who presumably takes his name from the 1986 French film The Green Ray - is out of Kalanisi mare Mansoura, from a top quality Aga Khan family, and was purchased by Paul Nataf for €25,000 at the 2015 Arqana August Yearling Sale.

A full sister to Rayon Vert will be offered by Haras du Cadran at the Arqana October Yearling Sale.

There was also another notable result for Harbour Watch this morning when another 3-year-old son, Paret, made an impressive winning debut at Canterbury Park in Australia. After running twice in barrier trials, Paret won over 1250m by three quarters of a length from Icon of Dubai, a half-brother to young stallion Pride of Dubai, and looks likely to be a key runner for his sire at the Melbourne Spring Carnival. Paret is out of an Encosta de Lago mare Enduja and was bred by Qatar Bloodstock.
