STREAK FOALS HOT PROPERTY AT TATTERSALLS

Foals by Tweenhills stallions Hot Streak and Havana Gold sold well at the Tattersalls Foal Sale, which concluded on Saturday evening.

The first foals by Hot Streak included 11 sons and daughters that sold for 25,000gns and above which include four that sold for higher than 50,000gns - impressive returns for his original stud fee of £7,000 (his 2018 fee is £6,000 Oct 1 SLF).

Hot Streak's top lot was a daughter of Royal Applause mare Crown (dam of Listed winner and Gr. 2-placed Global Applause) who was bought for 75,000gns by Emerald Bloodstock. She was bred and consigned by Cobhall Court Stud.

Trickledown Stud consigned two Hot Streak colts that sold for 55,000gns each. Coincidentally, both were out of mares by Oasis Dream, with the first (out of Rose Ransom) bred by Paradise Farm Stud and purchased by Blandford Bloodstock, and the second (out of Poyle Dee Dee) bred by Cecil and Miss Alison Wiggins knocked down to Tally-Ho Stud.

Tally-Ho Stud also signed for the Hot Streak filly out of Desert King mare Descriptive (dam of Listed winner Valonia) for 50,000gns. She was bred and consigned by Tibthorpe Stud.

Leading pinhooker Jamie Railton paid 40,000gns for a colt out of Street Boss mare Bossanova Lady, who was part of the Tweenhills draft.

Nine foals by Havana Gold sold for over 25,000gns, with five making 46,000gns and more.

The highest-priced Havana Gold was a filly out of Nayef mare Hamsat Elqamar who made 72,000gns. She was bred and consigned by Natton House Thoroughbreds Ltd. and purchased by Ballyhane Stud's Joe Foley, racing manager for Steve Parkin's Clipper Logistics.

A colt by Havana Gold out of Bertolini mare Peace Concluded went to J R Bloodstock for 65,000gns. He was bred and sold by Robert Pocock of Stringston Farm. Other Havana Gold colts from Trickledown Stud (bred by Aiden Murphy out of High Chaparral mare Serrenia) and Ballybin Stud (bred by Thomastown Farm Ltd. out of Makfi mare Make Me Blush) sold for 55,000gns and 46,000gns respectively.

Tweenhills also sold one of the top lots by the sire, a filly out of Lope de Vega mare Exceedingly Rare who was bought by Equine Advisory Agency SAS for 50,000gns.

Our sincere thanks go to all breeders who sold foals by Tweenhills' stallions last week.
