Tweenhills-bred Buckaroo wins the Gr.1 Underwood Stakes

Qatar Racing homebred Buckaroo added Gr.1 success to his CV this weekend an impressive victory in the Underwood Stakes, Gr.1 for Qatar Racing and partners.

Born, raised and grazed at Tweenhills. He’s out of the Galileo mare Roheryn, who won a 1m4f Listed race for Qatar Racing in 2014. Roheryn has also produced exciting Gr.3 winner Middle Earth as well as winners Siege Of Troy, Kihavah and Thousand Oaks from all her runners.

The win comes just 7 days after fellow Tweenhills-bred New Century's (Kameko) win in the Summer Stakes, Gr.1 and is a third Gr.1 winner for Qatar Racing this year.

Previously trained in Ireland by Joesph O'Brien, Buckaroo is already the winner of the Tetrarch Stakes, Listed and Heritage Stakes, Listed before travelling to Australia last year. Since then, under the care of Chris Waller, he has been placed a close 3rd in the Ranvet Stakes, Gr.1 and winner of the Chelmsford Stakes, Gr.2 two weeks.
