Tweenhills-bred Running Lion roars again

Fan favourite racemare Running Lion became a Stkaes winner at ages 3, 4 and 5 when taking the Listed John Musker Fillies’ Stakes at Yarmouth last week for her owner-breeder David Howden. 

Royal Ascot winner Running Lion bounced back to form in first-time blinkers when a battling winner of the John Musker at the seaside racecourse under regular partner Oisin Murphy for trainers John and Thady Gosden. 

Running Lion was born, raised and grazed at Tweenhills, by our late champion Roaring Lion, so she holds a special place in the heart of all at Tweenhills. She will become a treasured member of the Tweenhills broodmare band when she retires.

But for now she could run again, maybe in the Gr.1 Prix de l’Opera on Oct 5 in which she was a gallant runner-up last year. What a racehorse she has been already!
