Watch out for Harbour's second crop

Harbour Watch sired another two-year-old winner yesterday when Yogi's Girl landed the Sky Bet Best Odds Guaranteed Fillies' Novice Auction Stakes at Windsor for owners A Cooke, K McCabe and Mrs Burns.

Making virtually all she battled on well to hold off her persistent challengers to give her trainer David Evans his first two-year-old winner of the year.

Jockey John Egan said: "We were very unlucky on her debut at Wolverhampton as she would have won if she hadn't tried to run out off the bend. I'm sure she will run and run knowing David."

Bred by Newlands House Stud and Mrs Burns, Yogi's Girl is the first foal out of Ayr Missile (Cadeaux Genereux), a half-sister to the Gr.3 Cornwallis Stakes runner-up Outer Space (Acclamation).

From Harbour Watch's second crop, Yogi Girl's success follows on from Santry winning the Betway Brocklesby Conditions Stakes (Div 1) at Doncaster on 1st April, as well as several two-year-old performers this month, notably Take Shelter finishing second in a competitive maiden at Newmarket and Thrifty came second too in a valuable Conditions Race at Newcastle.
