What's Werner's Beef?

Hi everyone,

I’d been a while since my last update from down on the farm, but I’m pleased to report that TB testing this year has been clear and hopefully for the foreseeable future.

Calving for 2021 went well with the first calves of Zikomo – who we bought last year – looking great. We had a new bull for the 2021 season, Melview General, and we are looking forward to seeing his calves in 2022.

PD tests will be done in November so fingers crossed for another good result.

It was a good year for growing grass with 1700 bales made for horses and cattle. With the winter nearing barns will be disinfected and bedded up ready for cattle in mid-November.

We have four 18-month-old pedigree Angus bulls for sale and available for viewing at any time. We will also have 2 bulls at the Worcester sale on October 23.
