Another winner for Lightning Spear

Destiny's Spirit gave Tweenhills first-season sire Lightning Spear another 2yo winner at Chepstow on Monday 29 August.

Trained by Dominic Ffrench-Davis, the 2yo filly made all to see off a late drive from Gumais to win by a neck, in the process showcasing the toughness she has inherited from her sire Lightning Spear.

Destiny's Spirit was bred by The Ellen Gates Partnership and is the first runner out of the Mayson mare Ellen Gate, herself a 5f winner.

Lightning Spear now has a strike rate of over 33% winners-runners with his first crop of 2yos!
