Charm Spirit's son Kick On wins another Group race

Kick On, from the first crop of Charm Spirit, won his fifth Stakes race on Sunday when taking the Gr.3 Marit Sveaas Minnelop at Ovrevoll in Norway.

Kick On won the Listed Feilden Stakes at Newmarket and Gr.3 Sovereign Stakes at Salisbury during his time in Britain, when owned by Qatar Racing. He also finished seventh in the QIPCO 2,000 Guineas in 2019.

After his private purchase, the gelding has since won three Stakes races in Scandinavia. He was successful in the Gr.3 Stockholms Stora Pris in June and Listed Swedish Open Mile in July, both at Bro Park.

Kick On is now owned by Elkaer Stutteri and trained by Niels Peterson.

He was bred by Shutford Stud out of Marju mare Marika and is from the family of Best of The Bests and Prince of Arran. He was an 80,000gns foal and purchased by David Redvers as a yearling for 135,000gns at Tattersalls Book 1.
