First foal for Lightning Spear

The first foal by Lightning Spear has been born; a cracking colt who arrived at Crimbourne Stud in Marlborough on Thursday 16 January.

He is out of Danehill Dancer mare Moonlight Rhapsody, who is the dam of dual Flat winner and multiple hurdles scorer Cubswin. This is the family of top-class sprinter/miler Last Tycoon.

Our own stallion Havana Gold was born and raised at Crimbourne Stud.

This year in light of Lightning Spear's early subfertility issues, we will be standing him for a fee of only £5,000 Oct 1st. The first 50 mares booked will transfer from Oct 1st contracts to Lifetime Breeding Rights*, in the event that the mare is safely in foal on Oct 1st.

Breeding Right holders will be entitled to one nomination per year for as long as Lightning Spear stands at Tweenhills at no further fee (excluding keep and veterinary costs). Please contact us if you are interested in this fantastic deal.
