Havana Gold colt tops the second day of the Goffs UK Premier Yearling Sale

Havana Gold’s progeny proved in high demand at the first yearling sale of the season with 9 well-bred yearlings selling at this week’s Goffs UK Premier Yearling Sale. Amongst them a colt out of the Listed-placed Majestic Alexander who topped the second day of the sale when purchased for £115,000 by Oliver St Lawrence.

The Mount Armstrong-bred and consigned colt is a son of the Listed-placed Majestic Alexander, who is a half-sister to Gr.3 Cornwallis Stakes winner Majestic Missile. From just three runners she has already produced three winners including the Listed-placed Mighty Spirit and the Group 3-placed Angel Alexander.

Oliver St Lawrence, who bought the colt on behalf of Fawzi Nass described him as: “A very strong colt, a real two-year-old, who comes from a very good breeder. We are all looking for a Royal Ascot two-year-old and hopefully this one can bring some luck.”

Havana Gold who has already produced a Gr.1 winner and 15 Stakes horses to date, looks set to have an exciting year ahead of him with his biggest and best quality crop of over 140 yearlings selling this year and hitting the racecourse in the spring.
