Havana Gold filly digs deep at Newmarket

Havana Gold’s progeny have been in great form in recent days and Anadora added her name to the list by showing a tremendous attitude to win a Class 2 sprint handicap at Newmarket’s Craven meeting.

Anadora – a daughter of Havana Gold and Crafty Prospector mare Keladora – had made a winning debut at Newcastle as a two-year-old before finishing midfield in the Gr.3 Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot.

She returned an even better model when winning a 12-runner handicap off 85, battling hard to see off runner-up Loves Me Likearock, and there’s a sound chance she will be up to getting black type this year.

This isn’t the first time Havana Gold has worked well with the mare as he’s also the sire of her son Mawakib, a useful 6f/7f winner for Roger Varian.

Havana Gold is also the sire of April winners Way of Life (who completed a hat-trick), Odd Socks Havana and Space Tracker (on debut).

It isn’t too late to book your mare into Havana Gold so please get in touch if you’re like to use 2021’s leading UK-based sire of two-year-olds.
