Havana Gold son Alkaamel bolts up in Dubai
Havana Gold's gelded son Alkaamel was a staggeringly impressive winner of a Meydan handicap on Thursday.
A three-time winner as a three-year-old for William Haggas in Britain in 2019, Alkaamel gained his first success for Musabbeh Al Mheiri in Dubai when scorching home in the Longines Master Collection Handicap over a mile on dirt.
In the hands of Antonio Fresu, Alkaamel hit the line with no less than 13 and a half lengths over his nearest pursuer. "This is going to absolutely brain them!" were the commentator's words.
It was actually a 1-2 for Tweenhills stallions as the runner-up Harbour Spirit is by Charm Spirit. The third was by Teofilo - Havana Gold's sire!
Havana Gold is standing the current breeding season at just £10,000 (Oct 1st SLF) and Charm Spirit stands for only £8,500 (Oct 1st SLF) - please get in touch with our Nominations Team if you would look to book your mare to visit either of them.
