Havana Gold son wins again in Hong Kong

Havana Gold’s son Bella Baby again in Hong Kong on Sunday, his third success there since September.

Bella Baby was a £100,000 purchase by The Hong Kong Jockey Club at the 2017 Goffs UK Breeze-Up Sale, consigned by Lynn Lodge Stud.

Bella Baby was bred by Swordlestown Stud out of unraced Lomitas mare Chanter and was sold for €80,000 as a foal. He is a half-brother to last year’s winning two-year-old Golden Melody, as well as other winners Edge, Music Man, Ladurelli and Wajeez.

Bella Baby won over 1000m at Sha Tin in both late-September and December; and landed his first success over 1200m at Sha Tin this weekend. He’s trained by Chris So for Lee Ching Yiu.

Havana Gold’s fifth crop of two-year-olds are about to hit the track and, with potentially 144 of them to run, we are anticipating a big year for the sire of Gr.1 winner Havana Grey and many other Stakes performers such as Headway, Treasuring, Hariboux, etc.
