Ledbury Ladies taking on Gaucho Derby

Laura Redvers and Louise Daly – otherwise known as The Ledbury Ladies! – are off to undertake the greatest test of horsemanship and survival skill on Earth from March 3 to March 14.

The Gaucho Derby is a 10-day 500km multi-horse adventure over some of the world's toughest terrain in Patagonia, South America.

The race won't just test their skills on a horse but push Laura and Louise to the limit of their navigational skills, their ability to handle the wilderness and their physical endurance.

Most nights we will be spent camping out with their horses hopefully hobbled together. On some of the stages they will have a pack horse to carry food for the horses when in the middle of nowhere!

Laura and Louise are the only two 'Derby Virgins' in the race as all 18 other competitors have competed in one, if not more, Mongol Derbies.

The Ledbury Ladies have funded the trip themselves but will be also donating to the approved local charity of The Adventurists, 'Cool Earth' which works with local people to halt deforestation and climate change.

They are also raising money for the Midlands Air Ambulance and donations to the cause can be made via their JustGiving page by clicking HERE.

You can also track The Ledbury Ladies’ progress via their Instragram page by clicking HERE.

Any support would be hugely appreciated.
