Pony Racing Awards Lunch at Tweenhills

The West Mercian Area Pony Racing Awards were held at Tweenhills on June 1 which saw lots of pony racing jockeys and their familes come for a tour.

The lucky young riders also received a masterclass on the Equicizers from professional jump jockeys Stan Sheppard and Richard Patrick.

The visitors got to see stallions Zoustar, Kameko and Lightning Spear, as well as many mares and foals.

It was great to see so many youngsters so enthusiastic about the racing industry and we are certain we saw stars of the future, both human from the pony club and equine from the foals on show at Tweenhills.

The West Mercian Area Pony Racing Awards are open to 70 young jockeys and were handed out by Tweenhills' owner David Redvers after the tour.

Lunch was also served by David on the BBQ! It appeared a great day was had by all.
