2027 Stud Fees for Tweenhills Stallions Announced

Tweenhills has announced fees of £10,000 for both Kameko and King Of Change, with Lightning Spear standing at £3,000. All fees are payable on 1 October, Special Live Foal terms.

Kameko has enjoyed a breakthrough season, with six individual Stakes winners, headed by Group 2 scorers Wimbledon Hawkeye and Defiantly, and Royal Ascot Group 3 winner Generic. His yearlings continue to be in high demand at the yearling sales, averaging 5 times his current fee and selling for 375,000gns, 175,000gns, €100,000, 100,000gns etc.

Recently purchased from Qatar Racing by a group of leading British breeders, Kameko boasts the highest number of Group winners of any sire in his generation is 2026. With his largest and strongest foal crop having arrived in 2026, he combines proven performance with considerable momentum at a highly commercial new fee.

King Of Change continues to establish himself as one of Europe’s most exciting young stallions. His 8.7% Stakes winners to runners means only Dubawi and Frankel are above him among British-based stallions over each of the past two seasons.

The Queen Elizabeth II Stakes-winning son of Farhh covered a full book of 111 mares in his first season at Tweenhills, including more elite mares than in all his previous seasons combined.

Lightning Spear continues to deliver winners at outstanding value. With markedly improved fertility, the Sussex Stakes winner offers owner-breeders an affordable route to top-class ability, soundness and longevity, having retired sound after five seasons of racing.

Tweenhills owner David Redvers said:

“We enter the new season with three proven stallions offering exceptional value and their strongest crops still to race.

“King Of Change may be the best young stallion in Europe still flying under the radar. His early record echoes that of his sire Farhh, without the fertility limitations. His stakes winners have scored from five furlongs to a mile and a half, while more than 20% of his runners are rated above RPR 100. That combination of quality and versatility deserves serious attention.

“Kameko has attracted investment from some of Britain’s shrewdest breeders, and it is easy to see why. He gets tough, consistent horses with real class and has enjoyed a breakthrough season. With yearlings selling for up to 375,000gns this autumn and averaging more than £50,000, his new £10,000 fee gives breeders a compelling opportunity to upgrade their mares.

“Lightning Spear deserves every opportunity. From limited numbers, he continues to produce horses whose ability and toughness speak for themselves, with Group winner Royal Velvet again advertising those qualities this season. At £3,000, he offers tremendous value.”

For the 2027 season we are proud to continue the ‘Your Success = Our Success’ scheme. Any breeder who produces a Stakes winner by a stallion standing at Tweenhills will be offered a credit for use on that stallion in the following year to the value of the nomination paid.   Please visit tweenhills.com/success for more details.
