Kameko colt wins Classic

Kameko’s 3yo son Stud Poker made all in the 5-runner The Zavaray S Poonawalla Mysore 2000 Guineas (Gr.3) over 1m at Mysore Race Club on Thursday.

Stud Poker responded generously to a forceful ride by Antony Raj to beat 4 rivals in the Mysore 2000 Guineas, justifying favouritism.

It was an exceptional day for the jockey, who won three races on the card. Stud Poker is trained by Prasanna Kumar. The colt now has the Villoo C. Poonawalla Indian Derby (Gr.1) on February 7, 2027 as a target.

Stud Poker is out of Dynaformer mare Cat’s Claw, who was purchased from the Tweenhills draft at the 2022 Tattersalls December Mare Sale for 35,000gns carrying Stud Poker.
