4 Kameko Stakes winners in 11 days

The remarkable run of Tweenhills stallion Kameko continued when his son War Socks won the Gr.3 Marit Sveaas Minneløp at Øvrevoll on Tuesday.

War Socks set a new track record when winning the Gr.3 over 1800m for trainer Niels Petersen and jockey Thore Hammer-Hansen. It was a 1-2 for the trainer with Mount Kilimanjaro next best, giving Petersen a historic 10th victory in the race. 

War Socks became the 4^th individual Stakes winner by Kameko in less than 2 weeks following Defiantly in the Gr.2 Prix Kergolay, Wimbledon Hawkeye in the Gr.3 Prix Gountaut-Biron and Mirik in the Listed Grand Prize de Clairefontaine. 

Kameko is now the leading 3rd crop sire by Group winners.
