Another Group winning 2YO for Zoustar

There was further Stakes success for Zoustar on Saturday when his 2yo son Starlust won the Serenia Stakes, Gr.3 in thrilling style at Kempton.

The Zoustar colt, who had already won two of his starts this year, finished behind fellow Zoustar colt Zoulu Chief in a competitive nursery at York last month, before returning to the racecourse on Saturday to produced a gutsy display to win the Gr.3 contest on his first start in Stakes company.

Trained by Ralph Beckett, who also trained Zoustar's European Champion 2YO daughter Lezoo, he was bred by Branton Court Stud and sold for 55,000gns at Book 2 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale.

Zoustar is enjoying an excellent spell in Britain recently which include Stakes winners Miaharris and Lezoo in the last month.  He is now the sire of 40 Stakes winners and 6 Gr.1 winners.
