Another individual winner for Zoustar
Zousonic - a daughter of Zoustar - breezed through for an impressive win in a 1400m maiden at Ladbrokes Park Hillside in Australia on Wednesday.
After finishing placed on her previous five starts, Zousonic deserved to get off the mark and she did so in style, beating Whittington Stone by two and three quarter lengths with the rest of the field strung out behind them.
Zousonic is trained by Mathew Ellerton and Simon Zahra and was ridden by Jamie Kah.
Kah was impressed with the filly, saying: "They didn't go overly quick and she just quickened amazing then. Back on the good ground today you saw the best of her."
Zousonic is out of a mare by Hussonet and also inbred 3 x 3 to Encosta de Lago as he's Zoustar's grandsire and also the sire of Zousonic's grandam Vocabulary.
In other Zoustar news, Happy Good Guys was a winner for the sire at Happy Valley in Hong Kong the same day as Zousonic's success. Zoustar really is an international stallion.
The record-breaking Zoustar is set to cover another outstanding book of Northern Hemisphere mares at Tweenhills this year.
