Another new winner for Zoustar
There was another individual winner for Zoustar this morning when Permissive Star made a winning debut at Benalla in Australia.
Permissive Star made all the running and hit the line with a a length and a half to spare over General Short, with the third another five and a half lengths behind. The winner is trained by Michael, Wayne and John Hawkes and was ridden by James Winks.
Permissive Star is yet another winner by Zoustar out of a mare by a sire who ran in Europe; in this case the mare, Indulgent, is a daughter of Stravinksy, who won the July Cup and Nunthorpe Stakes as a three-year-old in 1999. Stravinsky is by Nureyev and initially retired to stud in North America before moving to Japan.
Permissive Star is also another very promising runner by Zoustar who is inbred to Danehill - in this case 4x3 which is the same as Gr.1 winner Sunlight.
