Charm Spirit filly Olympe wins French Class 1
Daughters of Tweenhills stallions finished first, second and fourth in the Class 1 Prix de la Pistole over 1600m on the all-weather at Chantilly on Tuesday afternoon.
The Jean-Claude Rouget-trained Olympe made it two wins on the bounce in taking the Pistole by three quarters of a length from stablemate Blanche Doree. The winner was well backed and hold a French 1,000 Guineas entry.
Olympe is from the first crop of Charm Spirit - as was the fourth Epistrophy - and the runner-up is by Havana Gold.
The hooded Olympe was dropped out from a wide draw under Christophe Soumillon and showed a smart turn of foot down the centre of the track to win a shade cosily.
Olympe was bred by Ecurie des Monceaux and is owned by Haras Voltaire. She is out of Giant's Causeway mare Naissance Royale.
Blanche Doree - who could't quite complete her hat-trick - was bred by Ecurie du Sud out of Rock of Gibraltar mare Balla Blanche, while Epistrophy is out of Arch mare Cheriearch.
