Mirik, the latest Stakes winner for Kameko
Exciting Listed winner for Kameko
Mirik provided his sire Kameko with another impressive Stakes winner in the Grand Prize Of Clairefontaine, Listed on Friday.
The sucess was his third victory to date and first time stepping up in trip to 1m4f for trainer Francis Graffard and owner-breeder The Aga Khan Studs.
Having raced towards the rear for the majority of the race, he was ridden to the front a furlong out and stayed on well to win by a neck with Stakes placed Lady Dora Mae and Zulu Chant behind.
Mirik is out of the Cape Cross mare Mira, a cross Kameko is now 2/2 with, and he is a half-brother to Grade 1 winner Mirabad and Listed placed Mirann.
Congratulations to all connections, we look forward to following this progressive son of Kameko for the rest of the season.
