Air Force Jet

Air Force Jet wins a nursery

09 Sep 2019

Homebred Charm Spirit winner

Charm Spirit had more winners over the weekend, including Qatar Racing homebred Air Force Jet in a valuable nursery at Navan.

Air Force Jet was born and raised at Tweenhills and is the first foal out of Distorted Humor mare Wind Fire, who won two Listed sprints and ran in G1s for Qatar Racing. Air Force Jet defeated subsequent Windsor Castle winner Southern Hills when breaking his maiden at Navan in June, and he returned to the same C&D to make all on Saturday. He is a very speedy young colt.

A year older but just as quick is Charm Spirit's daughter Texting who has now won 3 of her last 4 starts after scoring from a big field in a Class 3 Ascot handicap, also on Saturday. She seemed to have a little more up her sleeve too should she have needed it and will remain of interest. She is owned by her trainer Mohamed Moubarak and was bred by Laundry Cottage Stud Farm out of New Approach mare Dreamily.

Other exciting lightly-raced sons and daughters of Charm Spirit to look out for this season include Vividly (out of Dansili mare Zero Gravity), Lyndon B (out of Most Welcome mare Kelsey Rose) and Lambeth Walk (out of Cockney Rebel mare Cockney Dancer).
