Impressive 2YO winner for Zoustar
Just Janet, a daughter of International Sire Sensation Zoustar, showcased an impressive turn of foot and attitude to win the EBF Restricted Maiden Stakes at Wetherby under Danny Tudhope for trainer David O’Meara and owner T Perkins.
The two-year-old filly was Zoustar’s first Northern Hemisphere foal born and is now his first Northern Hemisphere two-year-old winner.
Sold at the Tattersalls October Book 3 Yearling Sale for 55,000gns, she was bred at Peter Winkworth’s Merton Place Stud and is the first runner out of the Excelebration mare Coral Sea, herself a dual winner over 6 furlongs.
Zoustar is currently standing his fourth Northern Hemisphere breeding season at Tweenhills where he is heavily oversubscribed once again.
His first crop of two-year-olds have sold for up to 400,000gns at the breeze-up sales and runners include the RPR 93-rated Alexis Zorba and RPR 83-rated Annie Maher.
