Impressive debut for exciting Zoustar colt
Zoology's eagerly anticipated debut on Yarmouth on Thursday did not disappoint with the 2yo colt making all to win by an impressive 4 lengths for trainer James Ferguson and Qatar Racing.
The 2yo colt son of Zoustar was bred by Mickley Stud and the Executors of Lady Lonsdale and bought by David Redvers at the Tattersalls December Foal Sales for 90,000gns.
Zoology is out of the Dream Ahead mare Peach Melba, meaning that he is bred on the successful Zoustar/Dream Ahead cross which already produced Australian Group Gr.2 winner and Gr.1-placed Lightsaber.
Zoology showed both a high natural cruising speed and a sharp turn of foot, and his entry in the Gr.1 Middle Park Stakes on September 24 will be considered.
Zoustar himself has stood 4 breeding seasons at Tweenhills where his books were oversubscribed each time, and is currently back at Widden Stud in Australia.
He is also sire of dual Stakes-winning 2yo filly Lezoo, among the favourites for the Gr.1 Cheveley Park Stakes also on September 24.
