Noora declared for Doncaster after Zoustar cover
Gorgeous Noora, owned by David Redvers and David Howden, has been declared for the first turf race of the British Flat season having recently been covered by Zoustar.
Gorgeous Noora won a Listed race on her latest start and she will bid to make it two wins at the level in the Cammidge Trophy over six furlongs at Doncaster (1.50pm) on Saturday.
Gorgeous Noora was purchased for 200,000gns at the Tattersalls December Mares Sale and has done very well since joining Archie Watson, again given a great ride by Hollie Doyle when beating subsequent winner Royal Birth in the Hever Sprint at Lingfield five weeks ago.
That race was over five furlongs and Gorgeous Noora showed her versatility, but she should be even more effective back over six furlongs in Cammidge. This will also be her first run on turf for her new connections, having won a Newmarket handicap last summer for Luca Cumani.
She will be taken on by eight rivals on Town Moore, including three 4-year-olds all making their first starts of the year: Arbalet, Equilateral and Invincible Army.
Like the same owners’ Castle Hill Cassie, Gorgeous Noora was covered at Tweenhills a few weeks ago by Australian sire sensation Zoustar.
