Individual winner #33 for Charm Spirit

Charm Spirit has now sired 33 individual winners after his son The Singer made a winning debut at Chantilly.

The Singer carried the "Charm Spirit colours" of HH Sheikh Fahad bin Abdulla K H Al Thani when beating eight rivals in the Prix du Rond du Manege, a three-year-old maiden over 1600m. In another similarity with his sire, The Singer is trained by Freddy Head.

The Singer was soon sharing the lead under Benjamin Marie and, after going two lengths in front rounding the final bend, he maintained his advantage to the line.

The Singer was bred by Scea du Haras de Victot out of Oasis Dream mare Lykea. She is also the dam of winner Qatar Sunshine.

The was another winner for Charm Spirit when Spirit Warning landed his second handicap on the bounce last Saturday. He was bred by his owners, the Kingsclere Racing Club, and is a half-brother to Gr. 1 winner Side Glance.

As things stand, Charm Spirit's last eight runners in Britain have yielded four wins and two places.
