Joliette wins again for Charm Spirit

Charm Spirit's daughter Joliette won her second race in succession when taking a Fillies And Mares Class 1 Handicap over 1350m at Ipswich in Australia on Monday.

After a string of placed efforts it turned out Joliette's win on the Gold Coast on April 3 was just the confidence booster she needed as she followed up from 11 rivals in the hands of Glen Colless. Joliette was strong at the line and will be fancied when she attempts the hat-trick.

Joliette is trained by Chris Waller for a syndicate that includes Star Thoroughbreds. She was bred by Windsor Park Stud and was a A$205,000 purchase from the 2018 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.

Her dam Burlesque is a New Zealand-bred daughter of Australian bred stallion Thorn Park. He was a son of Spinning World.

Charm Spirit's best progeny so far have been out of mares by Marju, Coronado's Quest, Distorted Humour, Arch, Hernando and Gone West.
