Kameko: sire of Five Ways
Kameko 2yo wins by 5 lengths
Kameko colt Five Ways looked a horse with a very bright future when winning the 6f novice at Salisbury on Wednesday by a wide margin.
Five Ways had shown promise on debut and proved a much better proposition when making all at Salisbury, scooting clear of his rivals from 2f out in the hands of Jason Watson.
Like many youngsters trained by Andrew Balding, Five Ways came on plenty for his debut and is now Timeform rated 94p. It would be no surprise to see him line up in higher grade next time.
Five Ways is owned by his breeder Dr. Jeffrey Hobby of Brightwalton Stud. He’s the fourth foal out of the Mayson mare Rosie Briar, who was herself Timeform rated 98 for the same connections, winning the Listed Doncaster Stakes as a 2yo in 2016.
