Kameko 2yos look Royal Ascot material

Kameko has only had 5 individual 2yo runners so far this season and at least 2 of them look Royal Ascot-bound after impressive wins over the weekend.

Kamakameleon had been well fancied for the first juvenile race of the year in Britain, the Brocklesby at Doncaster, and he was only beaten 2 lengths.

He improved plenty upon that when winning at the same track on Saturday, overcoming a heavy shunt from another rival after 1f.

Kamakameleon is clearly well regarded by trainer Dylan Cunha and will be giving lots of fun to his owners Hold My Beer, M. Broughton & T. Elphick this year.

The chesnut colt by Kameko was born, raised and grazed at Tweenhills, bred by The Moravia Partnership our of Group-placed Siyouni mare Moravia.

Kameko also has a smart 2yo filly for Stakes races in Spinning Lizzie, who made a smooth winning debut at Ripon on Sunday.

Spinning Lizzie is trained by Dr Richard Newland and Jamie Insole and owned by Chris Stedman. She is also a product of Tweenhills, her dam Cockney Dancer lives on the farm and has a filly foal by Shaquille. Her 2024 filly foal by Zoustar sold for 92,000gns to Willingham.

Spinning Lizzie is a half-sister to four winners including Lambeth Walk, a very useful sprint juvenile for Qatar Racing and David Howden in 2019 and whose first runner is smart prospect Excellent Believe.

Kamakameleon could be one for the Listed Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot and Spinning Lizzie definitely looks one for the Gr.3 Albany Stakes.
