More winners for Tweenhills-bound Zoustar

Fresh from supplying the first, second and third in the Gr. 1 Coolmore Stud Stakes last Saturday, Zoustar fired in another winner on Tuesday when Be My Star comfortably won a 1050m handicap at Morphettville.

Carrying the Qatar Racing colours, Be My Star won by a length from Kabini, with the rest strung out behind on the soft ground. Be My Star is trained by Tony McEvoy and has been ridden in her three starts by Jamie Kah.

It was a second success for three-year-old filly Be My Star – who is out of Not A Single Doubt mare Charity Belle – and she’s another potential Stakes performer for Zoustar.

In the same bracket is Coolmore Stud Stakes heroine Sunlight’s two-year-old full sister Sisstar who made a highly encouraging debut when fourth in the Gr. 3 Bumble Stakes on the same day. She was only beaten a length and a half by winner Bella Rosa and looks sure to win good races.

Sisstar carries the carries the ‘Sunlight colours’ and, like that filly, is trained by Tony McEvoy and ridden by Luke Currie.

Also last Saturday, three-year-old gelding Weboughtazou had made a winning debut in a 1200m maiden plater at Sunshine Coast for trainer David Vandyke and jockey Ryan Maloney.

Like Sunlight and Sisstar, Weboughtazou was bred by our friends at Widden Stud.
