New Group winner for Zoustar
Zoustar added another Group winner to his tally when Zoushine struck in the Gr.3 Bow Mistress Stakes at Hobart today. Also, Zoustar has been added to Fitzdares’ Champion First Season Flat Sire (GB and Ireland) market as 5/2 second favourite.
Four-year-old filly Zoushine took a step forward to win the 1200m Gr.3 Kevin Sharkie Bow Stakes for trainers Tony and Calvin McEvoy and jockey Barend Vorster. She runs in the familiar colours of Yu Long Investments and was winning her
Zoushine became Zoustar’s 34th Stakes performer and 26th Stakes winner. She is out of a mare by Stratum, whose sire Redoute’s Choice is also the sire of Zoustar’s dam Zouzou.
‘By popular demand’, bookmaker Fitzdares have created a new Champion First Season Flat Sire market to include Zoustar, whose first Northern Hemisphere 2-year-olds hit the track this year.
Zoustar has gone straight in as 5/2 second favourite behind Sioux Nation, and ahead of Havana Gold’s son Havana Grey, Roaring Lion and his old rival Saxon Warrior, Expert Eye, Harry Angel etc.
