Oaks winner for Havana Gold

We may only be 11 days into 2022 but Havana Gold has already sired a Group winner as Teresita won the Gr.2 Bangalore Oaks in India.

Havana Gold, as well as being the leading British-based sire of 2yos in 2021, he has now sired Stakes horses in Britain, Ireland, France, Germany, the USA, Japan, India and Australia.

Havana Gold’s daughter Teresita showed all the battling qualities associated with her sire’s progeny when winning the Gr.2 Bangalore Oaks over 2400m on January 11.

Four-year-old Teresita had been bought in utero when her dam Titian’s Pride (by Giant’s Causeway) sold for 20,000gns at the 2017 Tattersalls December Mare Sale.

Titian’s Pride was offered by Barton Stud and purchased by Five Stars Shipping Company, who remain an owner of Teresita with P. Prabhakar Reddy and Rama Seshu Eyunn. Teresita is trained by Sulaiman S. Attaollahi and was ridden by multiple champion jockey in India, Trevor Patel.

Titian’s Pride is also the dam of Rhea, a 130,000gns yearling who made a winning debut in 2019 for Sheikh Mohammed Obaid Al Maktoum and Kevin Ryan.

Havana Gold is excellent value at £12,500 (Oct 1st SLF) for the upcoming breeding season so get in touch to discuss a nomination for your mare.
