Sixth Stakes winner for Zoustar
Australian sire sensation Zoustar – who shuttles to Tweenhills for 2019 (£25,000 Oct 1st SLF) – sired his sixth individual Stakes winner on Saturday when Zoustyle extended his unbeaten record in the Listed Gold Edition Stakes.
Since winning his barrier trial in June, three-year-old gelding Zoustyle has won all five of his races. He recorded his fourth success at Doomben in the Gold Edition over 1200m, beating Outback Barbie by three quarters of a length with the pair clear of the rest.
On the same card, another son of Zoustar, Sun City, was second in the Listed Phelan Ready Stakes for two-year-olds.
Zoustyle became yet another runner by Zoustar to show a brilliant display of speed in a Stakes race, and he is described as “something very special” by his trainer Tony Gollan. Zoustyle has been ridden in all his outings by Brad Stewart.
Zoustyle is out of Anabaa mare Fashion. All bar Lean Mean Machine among Zoustar’s Stakes winners are out of mares from the Danzig line. One of Zoustar’s recent winners, Haut Brion Her, is actually inbred 2x3 to Redoute’s Choice.
Zoustyle was bred by Desharon Bloodstock and his dam is a Stakes-placed half-sister to Felicity, a Gr. 3 winner over a mile and a quarter for John Gosden in 2004.
Zoustar – who stands at Widden Stud in Australia – arrives at Tweenhills later this week. If you would like to come and view him or want to discuss a nomination for mare, please contact our nominations team on +44 (0) 1452 700177.
