Stakes winner #18 for Zoustar

Tweenhills stallion Zoustar gained his 18th individual Stakes winner when Healthy Happy won the Classic Cup at Sha Tin in Hong Kong on Sunday.

Progressive Zoustar gelding Healthy Happy, who raced previously as Leviathan in Australia, won the HK$12 million Hong Kong Classic Cup (1800m). He beat former Ballydoyle four-year-old Russian Emperor and Australian two-time Gr.1 winner Shadow Hero.

Riding Healthy Happy for the first time, Frenchman Alexis Badel's front-running masterclass delighted trainer Frankie Lor who said:

“I think the horse had a chance but I wasn’t sure he could win because it was the first time at 1800m.

“But I think the jockey is really smart, he didn’t go that fast, so I can say I ‘steal’ the race.”

Healthy Happy is now guaranteed a start in the Hong Kong Derby (2000m) after making it three wins from five starts in Hong Kong.

Healthy Happy was bred by Lachlan River Bloodstock out of Lohnro mare Lady Lakshmi, a multiple winner and Gr.3-placed in Australia. Lady Lakshmi is out of a mare by Keltrice (by Kenmare).

He was a $375,000 Magic Millions purchase for James Harron Bloodstock from the Woodside Park draft.
