Sunlight crowned Champion Australian 3yo Filly
Zoustar's daughter Sunlight has been crowned Champion Australian 3-Year-Old Filly for 2018/19 at the Australian Horse of The Year Awards.
At the ceremony held in Hobart on Thursday night, Sunlight joined The Autumn Sun as winners of the awards for three-year-olds.
After her ninth Stakes win just last Saturday, Sunlight is now a leading contender for the $14 million Everest on October 19 as she bids for her fourth Group 1 win.
Congratulations to all of her owners - Ms R C Parker, Mrs L Fung, Mrs I E Mitchell, Mrs K L Thompson, Mrs R J Fletcher, Miss S R Fletcher, Miss J R Fletcher, G1G Racing & Breeding and Qatar Bloodstock Ltd - as well as her trainers Tony and Calvin McEvoy, and regular jockey Luke Currie.
Four-year-old Sunlight is from the first crop of Tweenhills shuttler Zoustar and one of 11 individual Stakes winner for the extremely exciting young sire.
The Horse of The Year title went to Winx for the fourth year.
