Three winners this week for first-season sire Charm Spirit

First-season sire Charm Spirit has made a flying start, taking his tally to three winners when Diviner, Charming Kid and The Paddocks all won within the space of five days.

Diviner got Charm Spirit off the mark when easily making all at Wolverhampton and Charming Kid made an impressive debut in a Class 3 Novice at York two days later. The third winner this week was completed by The Paddocks (pictured) who won today at Newbury, a maiden previously targeted by Richard Hannon with Canford Cliffs and Strong Suit.

Charming Kid's trainer Richard Fahey said: "Charming Kid is naturally very fast and I'd be thinking of the Gr. 2 Norfolk Stakes as he's quite sharp and you need plenty of boot at Ascot."

Trainer of The Paddocks, Richard Hannon, said "The Paddocks is a nice colt we've been waiting to run and we hoped he'd be an Ascot horse. This is always a very good race and ours improve massively. He's a six-furlong horse, but if he's got the speed for five we might enter him in the Norfolk."

It looks like Charm Spirit will be well represented at Royal Ascot. Congratulations to all connections including winning breeders, Ennistown Stud, Biddeston Stud and Ecurie des Monceaux.

Charm Spirit stood his first season at Tweenhills and, as part of an agreement with the Aga Khan Studs, has alternated each Northern Hemisphere breeding season since between Tweenhills and Haras de Bonneval.

Charm Spirit will return to Tweenhills for the 2019 breeding season.
