Tweenhills-born Majestic Glory wins Gr.3 Sweet Solera

Majestic Glory, who was born and raised at Tweenhills after being bought in utero at the 2018 Tattersalls December Mare Sale, improved again to win the Gr.3 Sweet Solera Stakes for two-year-old fillies on Newmarket’s July Course on Saturday.

The Dansili mare Bella Nouf was bought by Tweenhills as a six-year-old in foal to Frankel at the 2018 Mare Sale for 325,000gns.

The resulting foal was sold by Tweenhills for 350,000gns to Gearoid Costelloe’s G C Bloodstock. She would become Majestic Glory who carried Costelloe’s colours to novice success over six furlongs on the July Course and then to Gr.3 success over seven furlongs there just 8 days later.

Majestic Glory was ridden by David Probert and is trained by Andrew Balding, who also trains this year’s Listed Marygate Stakes winner Nymphadora, herself born and raised at Tweenhills before being sold as a foal.

The dams of both Majestic Glory and Nymphadora are owned by David Redvers and David Howden, whose own purple and white colours were carried to Listed success by Mo Celita in France on Sunday and juvenile debut winner Hierarchy (owned with Qatar Racing) at Wolverhampton on Monday.

Bella Nouf has a stunning Roaring Lion yearling filly and a fantastic Zoustar colt foal. She’s in foal to Tweenhills’ dual Gr.1 winning miler Kameko.
